Prof. Badimon - "Doctor Honoris Causa"
Last May 15th Prof. Lina Badimon was awarded the title "Doctor Honoris Causa" of the University of Pharmacy and Medicine Carol Davila of Bucharest.
The award was delivered by the Exc. Sir Ionel Sinescu, Rector of the University. Members of the administration Council, physicians and university students attended this ceremony held at the University.
Prof. Lina Badimon is the Director of the Cardiovascular Research Center in Barcelona (CSIC-ICCC) at the Hospital Santa Creu and San Pau, Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is also Lecturer Adjunt Associate Professor of Medicine -Cardiology- at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York and Director of the Cardiovascular Research Chair of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Her research activities focus on vascular and cardiac pathology. She has published over 380 articles in highly qualified scientific journals and her work has been highly quoted in the scientific literature (Citations: over 18.914; h-index 61). She has written 230 reviews and book chapters. She is Member of Editorial Boards of various international scientific journals (JACC, TH, JTH, CVR, etc) and reviewer of many journals in the cardiovascular area.
